WALKING IN CIRCLES

Format:

In 1958 three English housewives travelled overland from London to the remote Tibetan Buddhist valley of Zanskar. This documentary intercuts the women's story, their rare archive film and film maker Martin Salter's return to the valley 50 years later. Using the archive footage( believed to be the first moving footage ever shot in Zanksar ) as a catalyst for debate, the film maker comes across a major ecological crisis affecting the valley which was dividing the population.
